The next season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (season 3) was given a nod but the rumoured spinoff to feature Adrianne Palicki (Agent Bobbi Morse) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) wasn't. The spin-off was continue the events that happened on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. , which saw Morse kidnapped by Grant Ward (Brett Dalton)  and Agent 33 during the penultimate episode. It seems the two Marvel shows (along with Agent Carter) broadcast by ABC barely survived the axe and didnt want to stretch it any further.
