How I Met Your Mother Re-review (Spoiler Alert)

HIMYM
I did a little rewatching of How I Met Your Mother and trust me it never gets old, there's a lot in it the various graphic lessons from Barney and if not then from Ted( No matter how long it takes, you would meet the one) and the timeless golden jokes in every episode or the iconic opening soundtrack 'Hey Beautiful' by The Solids.

Without doubt How I Met Your Mother is well written and performed by a talented cast but ended on a very low note with a last season that ruined the previous 8, the last season practically threw away every build up that had begun the story development (the way the Mother that was finally found was killed off for Robin...again), character development ( the way Barney goes from a changed and reformed human being back to the heartless whore we all love, but seriously it was awesome for the moment it lasted).

I honestly enjoyed the whole thing again despite its faults or the only at the end. It led me to a singular simple conclusion "No one can really replace FRIENDS in our hearts." There have been a plethora of attempts to recapture the form and dominance of a show with such an influence on different generations, even if How I Met Your Mother had its own style and panache to the sitcom genre, it still takes some notes from FRIENDS, it seems you can pay for school but you can't buy class.

The Verdict: 7/10 - How I Met Your Mother is worth watching or revisiting given that you avoid season 9 at all costs

Suicide Squad Trailer

Suicide Squad
The second trailer for +DC Entertainment's high risk and reward venture, Suicide squad is out and this social experiment might yield fruition. Suicide Squad is about a group of villains given a quasi-redemption mission to bring back the Joker.

The cast includes Margate Robbie (Here Quinn), Will Smith (Deadshot ), Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Jared Leto's screen debut as the Joker.

Suicide Squad is set to tie in with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, featuring a Joker cameo to build the notion of a cinematic universe.

Education: The System is Flawed

There's no doubt that education enlightens and more importantly assures one of a secure future, the question is how secure is the education? Not everyone that goes through the system is gifted that "good" job, the nice house, cars and holidays and everything that's is promised. Some people never even get to practice whatever field they studied in. A few of richest men in the world right now never completed college, but don't be a fool and dropout as they did if your alma mater doesn't have the pedigree of Harvard or Stanford University. Technological advancement has put humankind in such a comfortable position, everything is easy, in fact, stress should be non-existent, machines and computers do everything for us - +Google has all the answers and so one can be self-educated (the best form of education). However, one still needs some form of education to a certain level to even know how to properly utilise technology(Google) right? Education is very vital to any individual and its benefits are immensely rewarding to whoever undergoes the system. It's all theory, it doesn't teach you life lessons or what you'd even encounter on the job in the future and so academic excellence is somewhat overrated.

Prof. Abletor Sedofia from the University of Ghana pointed out "Academic excellence is overrated! Did I just say that? Oh, yes, I said it. Being top of your class does not necessarily guarantee that you will be at the top of life. You could graduate as the best student in Finance but it doesn't mean you will make more money than everybody else. The best graduating Law student does not necessarily become the best lawyer. The fact is life requires more than the ability to understand a concept, memorise it and reproduce it in an exam. School rewards people for their memory. Life rewards people for their imagination. School rewards caution life rewards daring. School hails those who live by the rules. Life exalts those who break the rules and set new ones. So do I mean people shouldn't study hard in school? Oh, no, you should. But don't sacrifice every other thing on the altar of First Class. Don't limit yourself to the classroom. Do something practical. Take a leadership position. Start a business and fail. That's a better Entrepreneurship 101. Join or start a club. Contest an election and lose. It will teach something Political Science 101 will not teach you. Attend a seminar. Read books outside the scope of your course. Go on missions and win a soul for eternal rewards... Do something you believe in! Think less about becoming an excellent student but think more of becoming an excellent person. Make the world your classroom!"

The message is simple, do the best you can, don't limit yourself to the confines of education, explore beyond your scope, take risks and most importantly, live live to the fullest.

The H8ful Eight Review

The H8ful Eight
There's one thing we've always come to expect from a Quentin Tarantino movie, a strong plot, powerful if not mind blowing dialogue and a handful of flashbacks and/or flash forwards.

The Synopsis; The H8ful Eight is about a bounty hunter and his prisoner finding shelter in a cabin after being caught in a winter storm and as it so happens, they aren't the only ones inhabiting the said cabin.

Quentin Tarantino almost cancelled The H8ful Eight Project after the script had been leaked, but fortunately pressed forward because of the positive response he received, however, the script has undergone some changes since then and the group responsible has since apologised for the leak.

In The H8ful Eight, Quentin Tarantino continues his tradition of delivering top-notch movie having all it the Tarantino-prerequisites to pull an audience in and leave them awestruck and begging for a sequel every time.

The movie brings back a lot of Tarantino-verse alumni in the likes of Samuel L Jackson, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, Kurt Russel and they only did what they are guilty of. Guilty again is Samuel L. Jackson of an Oscar nomination-worthy performance, speculate!

Despite the rumours of a third Kill Bill (Vol. III), this was taunted as the last Tarantino movie. If this is going to be the last Tarantino movie ever released? He clearly is going out with a bang.
