Avengers; Age of Ultron Alternate Ending.

Amazon sent emails to customers stipulating the DVD release of Avengers: Age of Ultron will have an "alternate ending". Available for pre-order and release on May 1 as with the United States, but already available in many countries already.
Joss Whedon, who directed the movie hinted that Avengers: Age of Ultron would not have a post-credit scene as Marvel movies usually did to tease a sequel or another movie to come. It is fair to assume that Amazon meant the post-credit scene now packaged with the movie unlike the theatrical version or it is a marketing stunt.

Nas Announces New Album.

Fact! The ghost of Domencio will release an album this year, after stating at a show in Florida “I drank henny with Pac, smoked with Biggie, traded chains with Big L. Im a 90s nigga. I got friends who are locked up. Death to all snitches, my album is dropping this summer.”, the nomenclature is quite unclear with only "TBA" being given on Only Hip-Hop Facts. No dates, it has only promised to come this summer.

New Ventures, Same One Direction.

One Direction Member Louis Tomlinson opts to start a record label of his own, though no name has been mentioned for the label, it already boasts an artist in Jack Walton. The unnamed label isn't the only bowl Louis is dipping his hand into; Billboard claims that every member of One Direction has a financial stake in 5 Seconds of Summer, however, it is not mentioned if they are under the unnamed label at the moment. Louis wold be looking to add new talent (Zayn Malik?) to his new venture that is a sub of Syco (Simon Cowell's label which 1D is under).

Alan Turing Manuscript Sold.

Reuters video confirms that Alan Turing's manuscript was sold for more than $1 million including commission from Bonhams

Alan Turing's work for the British Government came to light after his death as depicted in his bio-pic starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the actor, who is distantly related to Bletchley Park codebreaker.

The manuscript is the only existing extensive manuscript of the mathematician and early computer science genius, containing mathematically formulas and basics of computer science.

Alan Turing died a homosexual in 1954 at the age of 41, however, Cumberbatch received a Best Actor Academy Award Nomination for his role in the film The Imitation Game, which won an Oscar for best Adapted Screenplay.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Posters!.

The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer leaked online early on Friday night, forcing Warner Bros.’ formal unveiling on Monday.
Director Snyder posted two new posters for the film to tease. One is a grainy, grey mug shot-like photo of Batman, stamped with the red Superman logo and the year 2016 on his eyes.

The other poster is a Shepard Fairey-like photo of Superman, same mugshot size and a Batman logo looking like it had been torn off a newspaper horribly with 2016. Which one do you prefer?

Captain Marvel News.

Recent Reports on Marvel Entertainment website claim that "Nicole Perlman & Meg LeFauve will together write Marvel’s “Captain Marvel,” in theatres November 2, 2018, bringing Carol Danvers to the big screen in her first solo cinematic adventure.

Perlman as the co-writer of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, last year’s smash hit introducing audiences to Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) and his crew, while LeFauve most recently co-wrote  Disney•Pixar’s next original film Inside Out, which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May before heading to theatres June 19 2015".

Jurassic World New Trailer.

Taking off twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park (1993), Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World, originally envisioned by John Hammond.
After 10 years of operation and visitor rates decline, in order to attract them back a new attraction is synthesised and it all goes downhill from there.

Jurassic World, stars Chris Pratt (from Guardians of the Galaxy) and Vincent D'Onofrio (from Daredevil) and hits cinemas on June 12 2015.

New Fantastic Four Trailer.

Another reboot for the Fantastic Four has caused a stir amongst Marvel Comics fans, not only because of their castings but because of the plot as well. The 20th Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment produced franchise used an alternate storyline from the Marvel Comics, one where the Fantastic Four get their powers by travelling to an alternate dimension. The relationship in the casting is questionable as Susan Storm (Kate Mara) is related to Johnny Storm (Michael B. Jordan who is black). This hasn't only changed the origin story but the what the new family of four will look like.

The new Fantastic Four hits cinemas on 8th July 2015. This new trailer suggests that you don't judge this book by its cover.

Ant Man Might Be Awesome.

This Ant Man movie is one of the Marvel movies coming out this year on July 17, though underrated, it may come come and blow up in our faces the same way Guardians of the Galaxy did, making a talking raccoon seem cool, "oh yeah!". A new trailer for Ant Man has dropped and the team thinks it is a must-watch, heres why;

This trailer gives us a glimpse at more of what the movie plot entails and what the villain Yellow Jacket (Corey Stoll - Rep. Peter Russo from House of Cards) looks like.

Religion, the Opium of the People.

"Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition" - Karl Marx (1843).

The quote is not as negative as it may portray. "Religion", as we know operates only on "Faith" and therefore denies man of his companion "Reason" which has led man this far. Misconception therefore, may lead one down the valley of perdition. Curiosity, on the other hand is a basic instinct of humankind, when denied, Religion takes it's place. Inherent vice? According to Austin Cline "Religion is a set of ideas, and ideas are expressions of material realities. Religion is a symptom of a disease, not the disease itself". It is like a drug that alleviates the pain of the poor but doesn't eradicate them, It promises a better life in their next, it is illusionary, like an Opium that suspends the present pain.

Religion tells us to believe, Curiosity asks us to question. Curiosity is what propelled Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a fictional character though, it is what gave him his identity. In real sense, Curiosity is what drives man, the desire to know more, to know why certain things happen, to understand them and or replicate them has helped Man to evolve. Through the constant exercise of of asking "Why" and finding the answer, man Reasons. Reason is thought, logic and cognition, various synonyms for one act; thinking and not believing or hoping. It gives us the power of deduction through logical thinking.

Religion is basically asking man to get rid of his essence and denying man of his identity and right to Reason and its really affecting the so called "religious ones" since most of them are highly indoctrinated and dogmatic.

Religiosity is part of the problem with Africa, in their blind pursuit of Religion they have lost the ability to discern between the decision to take a logical step forward or belief in a supreme being that'll offer help spontaneously, praying more than they act, thus plunging deep and leaving it to the hope of divine intervention. As it is always said "Heaven helps those that help themselves".

The idea is not to discard belief in whatsoever He or She is called, but to stay vigilantly, Religion is both a symptom and a drug, confuse the two an you'd either become Michael Sullivan (Road to Perdition) or a Junkie, there's no middle ground * Cersei Lannister voice.

Grey Worm Also Sings.

Remember this guy, the well reserved, grim-faced unsullied guy that never speaks? Well he sings as well and his name is Jacob Anderson with is stage name as Raleigh Ritchie the name inspired by Raleigh St. Clair (Bill Murray)  and Ritchie Tenenbaum (Luke Wilson) in the movie The Royal Tenenbaums (2001).

The Greatest, You Make It Worse and Stronger Than Ever are some of his most well known songs. He also confirmed he is working on his album on Soccer AM today.

Proclaiming Independence in Lithuania 25 years ago;

Everyone has a right
To their own heartbeat, Everyone has a right to love Passionately and with no losses, Everyone has a right to the sun, Clouds, sleep and wine, To their own deception, To their own negation, To a full glass of milk, To a tiny silly puppy , (Yet do not say ‘It’s mine’, Just gently stroke its fur) Everyone has a right to play And even lisp, if they like, Everyone has a right to desire, And a right not to think about it, Everyone has a right To run barefoot in the rain, To forget their coat when it’s cold And mismatch their socks, Also a right to dream, That they fly and fall, Everyone has a right to be afraid, Even when it’s not serious, Everyone has a right to their dad, To their mom and a real friend, Everyone has a right to be sad, And cry out loud when they’re in pain, To yourself, the world and God, Everyone has a right to create, To hold a child’s hand, When it’s freezing in winter, Everyone has a right to word, To feelings and memories, Everyone has a right to dream, And laugh when they feel like laughing, A right to undergo anything, For a little bit of truth, Everyone has a right to extend, This list to endlessness.

An Equal Nigeria.

A few days ago, the Oba of Lagos threatened Igbo leaders. If they did not vote for his governorship candidate in Lagos, he said, they would be thrown into the lagoon. His entire speech was a flagrant performance of disregard. His words said, in effect: I think so little of you that I don’t have to cajole you but will just threaten you and, by the way, your safety in Lagos is not assured, it is negotiable.
There have been condemnations of the Oba’s words. Sadly, many of the condemnations from non-Igbo people have come with the ugly impatience of expressions like ‘move on,’ and ‘don’t be over-emotional’ and ‘calm down.’ These take away the power, even the sincerity, of the condemnations. It is highhanded and offensive to tell an aggrieved person how to feel, or how quickly to forgive, just as an apology becomes a non-apology when it comes with ‘now get over it.’
Other condemnations of the Oba’s words have been couched in dismissive or diminishing language such as ‘The Oba can’t really do anything, he isn’t actually going to kill anyone. He was joking. He was just being a loudmouth.’
We are indeed all prejudiced, but that is not an appropriate response to an issue this serious. The Oba is not an ordinary citizen. He is a traditional ruler in a part of a country where traditional rulers command considerable influence – the reluctance on the part of many to directly chastise the Oba speaks to his power. The Oba’s words matter. He is not a singular voice; he represents traditional authority. The Oba’s words matter because they are enough to incite violence in a political setting already fraught with uncertainty. The Oba’s words matter even more in the event that Ambode loses the governorship election, because it would then be easy to scapegoat Igbo people and hold them punishable.
Nigerians who consider themselves enlightened might dismiss the Oba’s words as illogical. But the scapegoating of groups – which has a long history all over the world – has never been about logic. The Oba’s words matter because they bring worrying echoes of the early 1960s in Nigeria, when Igbo people were scapegoated for political reasons. Chinua Achebe, when he finally accepted that Lagos, the city he called home, was unsafe for him because he was Igbo, saw crowds at the motor park taunting Igbo people as they boarded buses: ‘Go, Igbo, go so that garri will be cheaper in Lagos!
Any group of people would understandably be troubled by a threat such as the Oba’s, but the Igbo, because of their history in Nigeria, have been particularly troubled. And it is a recent history. There are people alive today who were publicly attacked in cosmopolitan Lagos in the 1960s because they were Igbo. Even people who were merely light-skinned like me, were at risk of violence in Lagos markets, because to be light-skinned was to be mistaken for Igbo.
Many responses to the Oba’s threat have mentioned the ‘welcoming’ nature of Lagos, and have made comparisons between Lagos and southeastern towns like Onitsha. It is valid to debate the ethnic diversity of different parts of Nigeria, to compare, for example, Ibadan and Enugu, Ado-Ekiti and Aba, and to debate who moves where, and who feels comfortable living where and why that is. But it is odd to pretend that Lagos is like any other city in Nigeria. It is not. The political history of Lagos and its development as the first national capital set it apart. Lagos is Nigeria’s metropolis. There are ethnic Igbo people whose entire lives have been spent in Lagos(015 NUASA has a host of them, morethan half the class), who have little or no ties to the southeast, who speak Yoruba better than Igbo(i mercy for them, their name na sorry). Should they, too, be reminded to be ‘grateful’ each time an election draws near?
What does it mean to be a Nigerian citizen?
When Igbo people are urged to be ‘grateful’ for being in Lagos, do they somehow have less of a right as citizens to live where they live? Every Nigerian should be able to live in any part of Nigeria. The only expectation for a Nigerian citizen living in any part of Nigeria is to be law-abiding. Not to be ‘grateful.’ Not to be expected to pay back some sort of unspoken favour by toeing a particular political line. Nigerian citizens can vote for whomever they choose( infact vote for PDP in lagos state), and should never be expected to justify or apologize for their choice.
Only by feeling a collective sense of ownership of Nigeria can we start to forge a nation. A nation is an idea. Nigeria is still in progress. To make this a nation, we must collectively agree on what citizenship means: all Nigerians must matter equally

Orange is the New Black is Back!

The third season of the Netflix original series Orange is the New Black, the award winning show based on a book by Piper Kerman returns to the screen on June 12. An official trailer teases what will come.

The Netflix exclusive (only available to Netflix members) will also have the first two seasons for those who haven't seen them.

Tidal or Spotify.

Tidal for All
As things look the new wave sweeping the internet is Tidal. With Jay Z backing the new music streaming venture. After various pro's and cons have been weighed, We are looking at How and Why Tidal will dethrone Spotify.

How; Higher royalties for the artists that are on Tidal unlike Spotify where "Aloe Blacc had a song that was streamed 168 million times and he got paid $4,000" said Jay Z in an interview on Fader. Through the extra money received producers, song writers and other record company staff could be paid. In addition, Tidal includes concert ticketing and exclusive content. The clause is that there's a must-pay unlike Spotify.

Why; Many artists will be tempted to leave a system where they are paid less or not at all for all their hard work, rumours are flying around that Def Jam artists are buying the Tidal pitch and we may see the exodus of Kanye West and Rihanna from Spotify, nice one Jigga. Best part is, its ad free no more "Royal Navy" ads in Chinese.

Tidal seem to have a better structured and more considerate approach towards the artist than Spotify has and most people are fuming at the cost of subscription, they should consider the other people behind the music and remember its optional. "We're really not here to compete with anyone" says Jay Z, yeah right like We believe that

However, they are others but as commonly seen or used like Spotify or Tidal. Might as well stick to our always free music on youtube?

No Longer a "Secret Girlfriend"

Kendrick Lamar has gotten engaged to his long time secret girlfriend Whitney Alford, who he has been with since high school. Yes, Kendrick Lamar has always had a girl and U.O.E.N.O. it, was probably hiding her from Drake.

The Vampire Diaries Exodus?

Michael Trevino who plays Tyler Lockwood has also been reported to be leaving The Vampire Diaries after the sixth season as he has been cast on ABC's Kingmakers.

Avengers Final TV Spot

1st of May should be a holiday because of this movie, the trailers are thrilling enough. Marvel entertainment let loose yet another TV spot Avengers; Age of Ultron.

The final TV spot consists of the last TV spot, with an additional 30 seconds showing Cap engage Ultron with Black Widow's assistance.

Better Call Saul Season 1 Finale.

The first season of Better Caul Saul comes to an end shedding more light on the events prior to Breaking Bad. The first season shows us why Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) eventually became Saul Goodman. After being betrayed by his brother he so desperately lived his life to please, he regresses into the "Slippin' Jimmy" we all know and love. The first season comes to a close after ten awesome episodes.

Fast and Furious 7 so far.

Fast and Furious 7 or Furious 7 as it is known in the United States, opens to the biggest April release in history at $143,600,000 and $ 384,000,000; the first movie to have a $100 million-plus in its opening. It also made the largest income amongst the series in its 7-part movies.

Vin Diesel also hinted on a possible Fast and Furious 8 on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with other rumours gathering about a Michael Bay-directed Fast and Furious spin-off on Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).

Call it a day and quit it while they are ahead or dip their hands in the cookie jar once more?

Nina Dobrev leaves Vampire Diaries for good?

An Instagram post by Nina Dobrev confirms that she will be leaving the Vampire Diaries cast after the sixth season.

Nina Dobrev asks fans to "join me as I celebrate her and prepare to say goodbye to her".

Will she be missed after dying multiple times on the show? It just feels like the other times doesn't it? Only difference is she's really "gone" now.

New speculation will only arise on whether she will be replaced or whether the show will end for good after her departure.

2014 Forest Hills Drive goes Platinum.

The third studio album by J.Cole "2014 Forest Hills Drive" hit platinum not too long ago, this is probably old news but the questions that reverberate are "How" and "Why".

How; According to Inquisitor, "the album sold over 300,000 copies in the first week and over 500,000 copies in the first month". A few months later a million wasn't far off.

Why; The album did not only sell a million copies, but it broke a 25-year old stigma of "featureless" albums that made the same sales mark.

It is safe to say that the Fayetteville man has made his mark on the Rap scene with his "story-telling" gift that makes him unique. In addition, word is that it was originally a double album, We can't help but think about the songs that didn't make it to the album.

Most Importantly, Kendrick Lamar (The Mind), who like J.cole (The Soul) represent the "Black Culture" are working and an album together, I felt the zing! too. We can only wait and see, no further information about the album is given.

Zayn Malik; Flying Solo

It has been about week since Zayn Malik went Jason Derulo ("Solo") on One Direction, yes pun intended. Going solo seemed like he won't make it on his own, speculation was sprung as a result about how the two parties will carry on.

Zayn Malik, former One Direction member.

It appears One Direction will continue to "hit" without Zayn Malik. A report on Billboard suggests that they are selling more records now that he's gone. However, Zayn Malik released a song produced by Naughty Boy titled "I Won't Mind" on Monday (March. 30), the record wasn't even given a chance on SoundCloud, where it lasted only 12 hours, however, if you want to listen to it its on his page on Youtube. Was that the work of One Direction's loyal fans? I don't know.

Zayn didn't backed down after his first attempt to make it solo wasn't received well, posting another video on Youtube titled "Crazy" on Thursday (April. 2), last week.

House of Cards, Season 4, Coming 2016

It has been confirmed that House of Cards, the Netflix only-online hit series will be returning in 2016 by a tweet on the official twitter page. No further information has been given about the show except "I will leave a legacy. #Underwood2016" with the picture below.

The political drama stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright in an engaging story about  the life of Frank Underwood and politics.

2015 Release Photo
The release date is a long wait but Netflix is notorious for releasing all the episodes of its original series at one go, yes, you only wait once unlike Game of Thrones.

Beyonce; "Die With You"

Beyonce just dedicated an unprocessed but sensitive number and dedicated it to Jay Z to mark their 7-year anniversary together called "Die With You". The video was posted on Beyonce's exclusive Tidal account on Youtube.

Jay Z wasn't present in the video because he was filming it, showing his face at the very end. These two make it seem so easy.

Kid Cudi; Speedin' Bullet to Heaven

Kid Cudi (@KidCudi) , yesterday, announced on his twitter page that he will release a new album called "Speedin' Bullet to Heaven" with no confirmed date of release or track content, teasing to keep an eye out for it. This LP is his first outing since he left the G.O.O.D Music crew in 2013.

Many fans will looking to see whether the "Kid" has really grown up or his attempts at teenage rebellion are futile.

Saturday 4 April 2015

Wale; The Album About Nothing.

Wale has just released an album; The Album About Nothing, after the not so successful "The Gifted" of 2013. The album features fellow rapper J. Cole on "The Pessimist" and other artists like SZA, Usher and Jeremih on other tracks "The Need to Know", "The Matrimony" and "The Body" respectively.

Reviews suggest he went back to his roots on this album and is sure to better his last album. Wale will begin his tour in the United States in Washington D.C. on the 4th of April, however, there are no upcoming tour dates in the UK, at least not yet.
